Bio

Jesse David Lang (b.1983) began to explore his creative side at an early age. Whether painting, wood carving, playing guitar, or composing music, he has always had an unwavering need to create. And it has continued to evolve throughout his life.

As a young adult, music was his greater passion. Songs were conceptualized with narrative and experimentation, always aiming to take the audience on a journey. This is also the case with his paintings. When viewing Jesse’s work, it is not difficult to imagine a past, present, and future to the scene he has presented. Each painting is a snapshot of a greater story. Significantly, the story of his own life as a guitarist would become a strong focus in his work. Jesse’s Struggling Musician pieces were attention-grabbing artworks that helped him gain exposure as an artist.

Based in North St. Paul, MN, Jesse frequently exhibits locally and has sold to private collections across the U.S. From landscape and marine paintings to figurative battle scenes, his body of work is ever evolving; each piece a window into his imagination.

Jesse holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
