Jesse David Lang (b.1983) is an oil painter based in North St. Paul, MN. His uniquely clever paintings reverberate between landscape, figurative art, and imaginative realism. He exhibits locally and has sold to private collections across the U.S.
From an early age he was always exploring his creative side. He would dabble in drawing, painting, wood carving, and writing music. This unwavering need to create continued to evolve throughout his life. In his 20s, although in school for visual art, music became his greater passion. Songs were conceptualized with narrative and experimentation, always aiming to take the audience on a journey. Later, he would take the same storytelling approach with his paintings. Jesse’s work is filled with narratives both familiar and invented. Significantly, the story of his own life as a guitarist would become an important inspiration. The Struggling Musician was an attention-grabbing series of paintings that earned exposure and recognition.
